Region: Antwerp & East Flanders | Hybrid | Full-time

 

Every day, you protect what others don’t see: the underground pipeline network that keeps the industry in the ports of Antwerp and Ghent running. As a Regional Coordinator, you are the face of Intero – The Sniffers in the field. You switch easily between site meetings and office work, between leading your team and briefing contractors. Your role 

You are the link between the field and the customer. On one hand, you are active on-site: inspecting pipelines, detecting routes, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety agreements. On the other hand, you coordinate a team of supervisors and operators, monitor planning, and act as the main point of contact for customers in your region.

Your area of operation: mainly the ports of Antwerp and Ghent, Zelzate, and Terneuzen. Coverage from Rotterdam to the Walloon border.

 

Operational 

  • Drive through the region for zone inspections and pipeline detection

  • GPS surveying of released pipelines and tunnel inspections

  • Inform contractors, authorities, and owners about regulations and permits

  • Attend site meetings and follow up on safety agreements

 

Coordination & Planning 

  • Lead the team: schedule supervisors and operators for sites and projects
    Review execution plans (drillings, pressings, roadworks, etc.)

  • Plan and perform quality checks (audits, workplace inspections)

  • Proactively follow up on KLIP/KLIC notifications

 

Customer & Communication 

  • First point of contact for contractors, clients, landowners, and local residents

  • Prepare and lead toolbox meetings and annual client reviews

  • Actively contribute ideas for improvements and opportunities with customers

 

Administration & Reporting 

  • Review and deliver site reports; prepare periodic client reports

  • Apply for and process permits; manage documentation in line with ISO standards

  • Prepare quotations and process helicopter inspection reports

 

Who you are 

You don’t need to be a pipeline specialist from day one — but you do have an affinity with technology and infrastructure. What we’re really looking for:

  • Technical background or experience in construction, infrastructure, utilities, facility, or industrial environments

  • Experience with planning, reporting, and customer contact — essential

  • Able to work independently and lead a team functionally

  • Strong safety awareness and proactive risk thinking

  • Proactive, communicative, and administratively precise

  • Fluent in Dutch, functional English — spoken and written

  • You enjoy variety and take responsibility naturally
