Job description
About us:
At Aellia (formerly Intero - The Sniffers), we support our customers in understanding, managing, and improving their environmental emissions. We combine precise, real‑world emissions measurement with deep regulatory and operational expertise, turning field data into decision‑ready insight.
With more than 30 years of international field experience and operations across 40+ countries worldwide, our work is grounded in accredited methodologies, advanced analytics, and recognised standards, with hands‑on operational delivery. Our solutions include Advisory, Emissions Management and Pipeline Management, covering everything from emerging requirements to regulated environments.
We believe that lasting impact starts with strong values — and that’s what makes us EPIC. Therefore we:
Strive for Excellence
Put People First
Act with Integrity
Champion the Customer
These values form the backbone of our international projects and guide how we collaborate, communicate, and innovate within Aellia.
To strenghten our growth in the DACH region, we are looking for Gas Leak Detection Operator
Your Responsibilities:
You carry out measurements on emissions and energy losses at our clients’ (production) facilities using a range of specialized equipment, working as part of a small team.
These measurements are conducted at oil and gas installations, in full compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
You collect, inventory, and measure emission data from various sources. The gathered data is processed for further analysis and reporting, and forwarded to our headquarters.
You regularly and independently calibrate your measurement equipment.
You work on-site at the client’s location. Depending on the project, this means overnight stays in a hotel or AirBnB during the workweek.
The role requires solid physical fitness, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and operating on uneven terrain.
When not working at client sites, you will be assigned to gas leak detection activities. This involves following underground pipelines by vehicle and/or on foot, registering and reporting any detected leaks. You are not responsible for resolving or repairing them.
Your work will primarily take place across Germany, with occasional assignments in Austria when needed.
Your profile
This is a fully mobile position – you must be willing to travel daily and stay overnight elsewhere on a regular basis.
You have strong technical skills and can operate our gas measurement equipment and software with ease.
You are adventurous by nature and consistently take a solution-oriented approach to your work.
A good level of physical fitness is required to carry out tasks at various locations and on uneven terrain.
You have a hands-on mentality, work well in a team, and are eager to keep learning and growing.
You have excellent spoken and written German skills.
You possess a solid to good command of English.
You have a good general knowledge of IT (MS Office) and you are willing to learn new systems and methods.
What We Offer:
A gross annual salary between €39,000 and €43,000
A company vehicle (including fuel card)
Mobile phone and tablet for professional use
Occupational accident insurance
Overnight allowance when applicable
Meal allowance when working more than 8 hours away from home
30 vacation days per year
An interesting and challenging international work environment
A goal-driven and ambitious company with a proven track record in its sector
